Alvin Lewis, of Congressman Mike Rogers Office 2011 TYSH Grand Opening The Tuskegee Youth Safe Haven held their 2011 Grand Opening with partnering agencies in the Macon County area. These included: Tuskegee Housing Authority, Tuskegee Police Department, Macon County Sheriff Department, Tuskegee University Department of Social Work, Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine Nursing and Allied Health, Tuskegee University College of Agriculture Environmental and Natural Sciences, Macon County Juvenile Probation, Alabama Cooperative Extension Service, National Park Service, and the T.H.A. Resident Council Executive Board. On program were:
Mayor Omar Neal, City of Tuskegee Dr. Iverson Gandy (Housing Commission Chairman) and John Puliam (Alabama Extension Service), with Linda M. Simpson (Exec. Dir., Tuskegee PHA) and Harvey Maxwell (Macon Co. Juvenile Probation) TYSH Staff members Larry Uzzle and Yolanda Green with Jacqueline McArthur (TU Social Work Dept.), Linda M. Simpson (Exec. Dir. Tuskegee PHA), and Vinaida Robnett (Assoc. Dir. TU BIMS) after being given roses by TYSH student Shamaya Gibbs (Ridgewood Community). |
